This website exists for one simple reason...because it needs to.
The story of the Joseph & Ruth Owens Family is a very long one with roots that go as deep as the story of Utah itself.
It all started when Joseph, the son of William Thomas Owens, married Ruth Dodds. The couple had nine children over the course of twenty years.
As you can imagine, those nine children expanded into their own families, and the reunions began just prior to World War II, and have continued uninterrupted ever since.
Every year during the last weekend of July, family members and their decendents gather at the homestead of Joseph & Ruth, for food, games, music, and a whole lot of fun.
As the family has grown and expanded, it has become increasingly difficult for everyone to stay up to date.
So, this website was created to provide a central gathering place, and a repository of information.
